Where Dorset Dough meets Dorset Tales!

An invitation to Oxfords Bakery Talk, Tour & Lunch.

We’re delighted to invite you behind the scenes of Oxfords Bakery, for our brand-new Tuesday Talk & Tours, running 1–3pm each week at our much-loved Alweston bakery, near Sherborne.

Founded in 1911, Oxfords has been at the heart of the village for generations. These afternoons are a chance to slow down, share good honest food, and discover the stories, skills and traditions that still shape everything we bake today.

What to expect

1.00pm – Welcome & Introduction

A warm welcome and short talk about the history of Oxfords Bakery and the craft behind our bakes.

1.15pm – Homemade Bakery Lunch

Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch made right here in our bakery.

Lunch must be pre-ordered when booking.

Choose from:

  • Traditional Ploughman’s
  • Homemade Quiche (vegetarian option available) & House Salad
  • Steak Pasty & House Salad
  • Cheese & Onion Pasty & House Salad

2.00–3.00pm – Bakery Tours
