Throughout the generations of Oxfords, the traditional recipe for the Oxfords Dorset Lardy cake has been passed on. It has won the approval of the thousands of people who visit the Steam Rallies, where Roger, Sue and Steve can be seen demonstrating their craft of bread making.
Other favourites include fresh Bramley apple cake, shortbread and Easter cakes…all of which are made by hand using the traditional recipes.
We are dearly loved by cake eaters all over the country and it is easy to see why, for example, when you unravel one of our hand made chelsea's fresh from the oven, or take a slice of our fresh bramley apple cake with a cup of tea!
The same principals apply to our sweet products as with our breads and our methods and techniques have been preserved and passed on through the generations.
We bring a selection of fresh morning goods (chelsea buns, belgian buns, pastries etc) to every show, market or event we attend and we try to keep a good variety in our shop and bakery for you to choose from too!
As well as these freshly baked goods we provide a range of longer life cakes like shortbread, eccles cakes and fruit cakes for example, that are baked the afternoon before they go on sale to ensure you get the longest 'shelf-life' possible.
